PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Childhood Cancer Awareness Month campaign was developed to support my workplace's efforts to educate, foster community engagement, and promote awareness throughout the month of September. The goal was to create a cohesive visual campaign that communicated an important message with empathy, clarity, and optimism while remaining consistent with the organization's brand. This project includes a range of digital and promotional materials designed to engage audiences across multiple touch points, demonstrating my ability to develop a unified campaign that balances impactful storytelling with strategic visual communication.
The “Then and Now” portion of the campaign was an idea I pitched of having a series of social media posts that highlighted some of the organization’s past Let It Be kids. It would start with a blurb about how their cancer story starts. This would build empathy with the audience for the child they’re reading about. The next slide would then feature a current photo of the child (or now adult) and another paragraph about where they are now, and what their plans are in life now that they beat cancer.
Then and now
This portion of the campaign highlighted the year’s kids that the foundation was caring for at the time. It showed those who were current fighters, and those who during the year achieved remission, and those who also unfortunately passed away.
